Sleeping Tablets and Diazepam

If you are currently prescribed Nitrazepam (Mogadon, “Moggies”), Zopiclone (“zimmers”), Zolpidem or Diazepam (Valium,”vallies”, “Blues”), you will be asked to book a review, please call the Surgery when instructed by your doctor and book a telephone consultation.

These medications have been widely prescribed in the last decade for many different conditions. These can be effective for sleep and anxiety. But quickly become ineffective within a few weeks and cause dependence/addiction. When stopping they cause withdrawal with rebound insomnia and increased anxiety. Long term they are linked to brain fog and possible dementia. People benefit hugely from stopping and reducing these medications. Please research your medication, especially other people’s experience.
